What you’ll be doing

The primary purpose of the role is to provide effective clinical management of Emergency patients, under appropriate supervision, whilst developing expertise in medical practice, in a complex clinical environment. The Trainee is the key person who works closely with all members of a multi-disciplinary team and deals with matters of an urgent or sensitive nature, whilst exercising discretion, sensitivity and maintaining confidentiality.
Decision making and supervision will be at the appropriate level according to the doctor’s skills, knowledge and experience. The medical officer will be expected to adopt a progressively more independent approach to patient

responsible for that care.
Note: Unaccredited Trainees appointed through RNSH to Emergency Medicine Training Network 2 may be required to rotate to other hospitals in the Network, notably Hornsby, Lismore, Northern Beaches or Sydney Adventist Hospitals.
