Ann Webb Skin Institute in Austin, TX is looking for one marketing coordinator/ graphic designer to join our 31 person strong team. We are located on 11701 Jollyville Road. Our ideal candidate is self-driven, ambitious, and reliable. The number one goal of our marketing person is to directly and positively affect school enrollments and brand awareness.

Company Description

Ann Webb Skin Institute is a Cosmetology School based in North Austin, TX with a focus in Esthetics. We also have our own skincare line and a Medspa in the same building as the school. We strive to create a welcoming and comfortable environment for our clients and staff.

Role Description

The ideal candidate will have experience in selling services, classes, and products through marketing strategies and social media content. The Marketing Coordinator will be responsible for creating and executing marketing campaigns, posting and managing social media, creating and following a promotional calendar for products and services, designing logos and branding materials, helping with retail store merchandising, taking photos and creating graphics. This is an on-site role located in North Austin, TX.

Responsibilities:

Manage Social Media Platforms

Take Photos

Create video content

Create Newsletters

Build brand awareness through various media outlets

Plan sales and advertising campaigns

Collect and analyze market research data

Identify potential markets and test them extensively

Work within various multimedia outlets to promote a product

Design and oversee social media layouts

Present projects to management and work with them to strategize and improve the material according to their needs

Negotiate advertising contracts if needed (this would be very limited)

Marketing Job Requirements and Qualification

    • *

Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)

    •  *

Stellar written and oral communication skills

     *Event Coordination *Strong understanding of how to effectively sell classes, services and products through different forms of media outlets *Strong understanding of design principles and color theory *Excellent communication and organizational skills *Ability to work independently and as part of a team *Knowledge of HTML/CSS and web design principles is a plus *Experience with video editing and animation software is a plus
  • Formal training in marketing, business administration or related field
  • At least 1 year previous experience in sales, marketing, advertising, and brand management
  • Experience in website design and content development
  • Extensive knowledge of current and relevant markets
  • Proficient in analytics and market testing
  • Willingness to try innovative marketing strategies
  • Excellent time management, able to balance many projects at once
  • Team player
  • Willing to pitch in to help out with other projects as needed

Good working knowledge of:

– Adobe Creative Suite including Adobe Illustrator- We do not use CANVA

  • Wix (or similar)
  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Mac computers
  • Social media schedulers like Later
  • Excellent use of Tik Tok, YouTube, Instagram platforms
  • Facebook Ads
  • Google AdWords a plus
  • Video editing skills a plus

Note: Experience with setting up equipment used to make professional videos for youtube and other video platforms a plus

Position is 5 days a week, however part time will be considered for the right person if needed. Time of the day is flexible. Opportunity for growth and additional days. Starting pay is $22 per hour with opportunity for increase after 90 day review period, paid holiday after 1 year of employment.
