The Opportunity


This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to be part of an organisation dedicated to nation-building renewable energy projects that will provide on-demand energy and large-scale storage for many generations to come.

As Graphic Designer you will be responsible to support the delivery of Transgrid’s brand and marketing strategy, within the Community & Policy function. You will report to the Publications and Graphic Design Manager and be responsible for designing and producing high quality brand and marketing materials, including long form documents and publications.


As Graphic Designer you will:

  • Design and prepare Publications and other long form documents for the Brand & Marketing team.
  • Support communications and marketing projects and campaign with high quality designs.
  • Serve on project teams, providing design advice to project leaders.
  • Advise on the effective use of design and brand to achieve project aims.
  • Review all external project related marketing materials to ensure alignment with Transgrid’s brand.
  • Prepare and package PowerPoint presentations for external and internal events.
  • Assist the Publications and Graphic Design Manager to implement project plans and partner with other business units on projects.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to establish their creative service’s needs.



Skills & Experience


To be successful in the role you will have:


  • Tertiary qualifications in Graphic Design or Marketing or 3-6 years’ equivalent industry experience.
  • Demonstrated high level graphic design and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to liaise, consult, negotiate, and network with stakeholders to develop and execute designs.
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully meet competing deadlines, influence outcomes to accomplish organisational objectives.
  • Demonstrated sound analytical skills to assess the impact of issues and provide relevant input in analysis of business needs.
  • Competent in the Adobe Creative Cloud suite of applications, including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat.
  • Experience creating animations using Adobe After Effects or similar software, including a strong knowledge of motion graphics techniques, including keyframing, animation, and visual effects.
  • Ability to competently navigate Adobe InDesign and create Style Sheets and use of other style libraries to streamline and strengthen consistent document design.
  • Competent in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with photographic retouching using Adobe Photoshop to a competent level.
  • Ability to work in and navigate Asana or similar Workflow and Project Management software: used for all active and upcoming job tasks within the Brand and Marketing Team.
