  • Salary: $62,649 – $72,046 p.a. plus 11% Superannuation

We are seeking 2 event officers keen to develop their skills and enhance their career in newly created roles within a dynamic and high functioning team responsible for the stewardship of Waverley’s annual major events program, the civic events program and public place permit assessment program.


In this role you will:

  • Support the delivery of the annual civic events program, and smaller scale events across the Local Government Area.
  • Assess and approve filming and photography permits, commercial activations and external event applications.
  • Contribute to improving and innovating event application and permit processes, with a commercial mindset.
  • Contribute to Waverley’s annual major events program.
  • Be responsible for permit and finance related administration.
  • Have the opportunity to learn from a highly skilled and experienced events team.


About You

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Customer Service experience.
  • Strong administration skill and experience.
  • Event experience and some understanding of event production.
  • Previous permit assessment experience in Local Government or equivalent.
  • Ability to identify and mitigate site specific event risks.
  • Ability to problem solve and work independently where necessary.
  • Commercial mindset and budgeting skills.
